Actually,  this could be aptly called the “Annoying of the Green Dragon”

A large and welcoming group of us Jenn-Kellon gathered at Homestead Bay to go greet the Green Dragon and throw it an impromptu house warming / welcome back party.  When we arrived at the home of the Green Dragon, we knocked on the door and when the Dragon answered it was not too happy to see us.

The ungrateful fiend began attacking us and would not listen to reason at all.  Finding ourselves in a difficult position we decided to defend ourselves from the onslaught of its crude and less than neighborly like conduct.  Granted we were not exactly neighbors, after all, it was near the Altar of Libila area and we were from the northern front.

With introductions tossed to the way side the thirty plus of our welcoming party took up arms to defend ourselves and the battle was on.  After a while it became clear that we had to stop the beast at all cost before it could wreak havoc on any nearby villages no matter who they were aligned with.  The aged reptile put up a most impressive battle, and its mate came and tried to evict us from the residence of the Green Dragon.

The Aged Raging Crocodile was red with anger and hate as it charged into our party and began tearing through our ranks.  A valiant effort was given by the Dragon’s mate,  but we managed to dispose of the crocodile in due order as medics and healers rushed to heal and bandage the wounded while the rest of us tried non stop to handle the green beast before us.

Even with thirty of us attacking the infernal beast, we were little to no match for it.  It was relentless in its defiance and even with healers and medics working on us through out the battle they could barely keep up with the damage being inflicted to our group by the Green Dragon’s barrage of a.o.e. attacks.

The battle raged well into the night and at least one fighter succumbed to the onslaught of the fire breathing beast.  Four hours into the battle, we began to wonder just who was going to win.  Even with the power of Magranon on our side, the smoke bellied beast withstood being smote five times. The last strike of divine lightning did nothing to our foe. We were holding on by a thread the whole time and any slip up could cost us the battle and all our lives.  Time drug on as did the battle and our resources and stamina began to wane.  A little after the seventh hour, we were becoming worried that our supplies would not last the battle.  The possibility of the Green Dragon besting us was very real, and gradually becoming a more and more likely outcome as the battle raged on. 

Nine and one half hours of constant battle after the first attack, we finally won.  The Green Dragon laid before us dead as we picked up the pieces of our party and bandaged up as best we could with what was left of our few remaining resources.  The survivors of the fight earned their titles through a lot of determination and hard work.  We carried our wounded aboard the ships and set sail back to the welcoming lands of our homes up north.

Back at Homestead Bay we held a victory party complete with Green Dragon Steak, Green Dragon Kabobs, Green Dragon Barbecue Ribs, Spicy Dragon Wings, Green Dragon Burgers, and even Green Dragon Casserole made by Nosyt and Miggy.  Dessert was served by Xallo and Christa consisting of home made Salt Water Taffy,  Chocolate Fudge, and triple layer lemon frosting cake, all hand made by Christa which we had intended to deliver at the welcoming party for the Green Dragon, but instead ended up being for our victory celebration. 

Souveniers were sold along the docks consisting of money pouches, water bags, boots, belts, and other small items made excusively from the Green Dragon leftovers.

Today the homelands of Jenn-Kellon and Mol-Rehan were swallowed up by the seas.  With the inhabitants evacuated to the Wildlands and the newly charted Freedom Isles, the precious artifacts we worked long and hard for were summoned by the gods and scattered across the wildlands.  Today a massive effort undertaken by the allies of Jenn-Kellon went forth into battle and vowed to reclaim the gods tools.  Foes eager to do battle felt a sense of joyous relief when their blades pierced the armor of their enemies once again.

Wurm Online celebrates its third year anniversary of gold June 6th and what a brutal three years it has been so far.

I remember Artibaton introducing me to the spiders at the start point of Gold 1.  I remember Bune encouraging us to go to wild and finding us a perfect place to build Merkamanost.  I remember the spiders bloodlust against me.  I remember the Orb of Doom.   I remember the battle for the hammer.  I remember the great crash of aught seven.  I remember starting the wall around Kyara on Gold 2.

We have accompished a lot…  I still recall a few bits and pieces,  what do you remember of gold?

Who can forget this event:  [23:27:17] It is 19:33:20 on day of the Ant in week 2 of the Snake’s starfall in the year of 997.
[23:27:17] The village of Libilian Outlawz has just been disbanded by Shweet.

It has been a week since the downfall of Libilian Outlawz, and the world of Wurm continues to adapt to the new situation.  L.O. was one of the only unraided, and undrained towns along with Kyara until the final assault before its demise.  Spikesp drained the token of L.O. destroying L.O.’s long standing record as the final attack on the fortress took place.

While the kingdom of Jenn-Kellon is proud to have taken down the fortress of L.O., it was not the kind of attack or raid preferred.  There was no major resistance or long siege, as the citizens of L.O. had succumb to other issues including a severe smiting by a divine power for  using unholy magics, weakening the defensive capabilities of the fortress town.

The remaining survivors of L.O. have moved to other villages to regroup.  May they find better friends and challenges than what they faced at the fractured and now destroyed fortress of L.O.

Day of the Ant in week 2 of the Snake’s starfall in the year of 997 will long live in the history of Wurm and the lands of Wild as the flag of Jenn-Kellon is raised over the fallen.

PC Gamer UK edition is running a 6 page spread on Wurm Online this month.  The article is a really good read and captured much of the new player’s experience on Golden Valley quite admirably.

Except for a couple of errors in the information provided by the reviewer, the article is well worth the read.

Corrections to note: Wurm Online is only 5 euro’s a month,  not 9pounds unless you purchase 1 month plus 5 silver, and your skills are not permanently lowered by death as you can always raise the skills back up with a bit of effort.

On Luck day first week of the Starfall of the Saw in the year 996, the fortress of LO was breached.  Many brave and or bloodthirsty Kyaran warriors journeyed to the left ventricle of the Mol-Rehan heart.  Upon their arrival the daunting walls of the Mol Rehan fortification were among the first to fall.

The screams of the defending forces could be heard throughout the Mol-Rehan valley as sword pierced breast-bone, maul crushed skulls, and arrow blinded and perforated.  The Jenn-Kellon faithful were triumphant in their march through the defensive perimeter and strode up to the token center of the village.

One Mol-Rehan soldier, Dizzy, wielded one of the most diabolical devices known in the lands of Wurm and even the power of the Orb of Doom was not enough to stop the onslaught of the Jenn-Kellon massacre of the Libilian Outlawz.

After the bloodbath was all but over, the Jenn-Kellon warriors attempted to drain the coffers of the fallen village.  It was to no avail as a rogue guard of the village had absconded with the village’s accounts.

This will always be remembered as the day Longshanks lost his marbles.

Long Live Jenn-Kellon!!!
